Russian strikes on Kyiv kill four, injure over 50 including children

A major Russian missile and drone strike on Kyiv, Ukraine, has left four people dead and more than 50 injured, Ukrainian officials confirmed. Among the wounded are three children. The strikes caused widespread destruction across the capital and nearby regions.

Emergency services were deployed throughout Kyiv as authorities worked to assess the full extent of the damage. Buildings and infrastructure were reported to have been hit in multiple districts, with rescue teams searching through rubble for survivors.

The attack is part of an ongoing campaign of aerial bombardment by Russian forces targeting Ukrainian cities. Kyiv has repeatedly been struck by ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and Shahed-type drones throughout the conflict.

Ukrainian air defence forces attempted to intercept incoming projectiles, though some broke through. Ukrainian authorities have urged residents to remain in shelters and follow official safety guidance as further threats are assessed.
