КультураInno Joonas, director of the Estonian Floristry School, shared useful tips on the programme "Terevisiooni" on how to keep cut flowers fresh for longer — especially during ceremonies and festive events when a flower bouquet may wait for hours.
Joonas explained that wilted flowers can be revived by alternating between warm and cold water. This simple method helps flowers absorb water more effectively and regain their vitality even when they have already started to droop.
For longer-lasting results, the floristry specialist recommended using flower wraps — a special moist material that is wrapped around the stems. As an alternative, a regular plastic bag or a box with a plastic base also works well, as these keep the stems in a humid environment. These solutions are particularly useful during the school graduation season, when children carry flower bouquets for hours.
