On 3 June, the Writers' House announced this year's Siuru scholarship laureate — the honour went to Heneliis Notton, a young and versatile writer.

Notton is known as an active literary figure working across several different areas of literature. The Siuru scholarship is awarded to promising young Estonian writers, supporting their creative development.

Siuru was a literary group founded in 1917, whose members such as Marie Under, August Gailit and Friedebert Tuglas renewed Estonian literature and brought fresh and bold spirit to it. Today, the scholarship carries on their legacy, recognising the literary talent of a new generation.
