International Children's Day brings national flags up on Monday in Estonia

On Monday, June 1st, Estonia celebrates International Children's Day, which is also a national flag day. All state and local government institutions are obliged to fly the flag, and private homes, businesses and associations are also encouraged to do so.

On Monday, June 1st, International Children's Day is celebrated around the world. In Estonia, this day is also a flag day, when the blue-black-white flag is hoisted in front of state and local government institutions and public legal entities.

The State Chancellery has called on all homes, businesses and associations to hoist the flag to jointly celebrate a day dedicated to children's well-being. Flag day is an opportunity to show unity and support for values related to children throughout Estonia.
