Eight-time World Rally Champion Sebastien Ogier heads into this weekend's Rally Japan as one of the top favourites, despite suffering a points loss at the recent Rally Portugal. The Toyota driver has made clear he is sticking to his pre-season plan and is not changing his approach following the Portuguese setback.

Ogier, who competes for Toyota Gazoo Racing, acknowledged that expectations surrounding his performance in Japan are high. «Ootused on kõrged,» the Frenchman noted, signalling confidence in both himself and the team as the WRC season reaches its decisive final stages.

Rally Japan, held on the island of Honshu in the Aichi and Gifu prefectures, is traditionally a technically demanding event that suits drivers with precision and experience — qualities Ogier has demonstrated throughout his illustrious career. The Japanese round is among the final rallies of the WRC calendar, making every point crucial for championship contenders.
