President Karis thanks winter Olympic athletes at Kadriorg rose garden reception
President Alar Karis hosted a reception at the Kadriorg Palace rose garden to thank Estonian athletes who competed at the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics. Present were Kelly, Henry and Tõnis Sildaru, among other Olympic competitors and their support teams.
СпортPresident Alar Karis held a formal reception on Tuesday afternoon at the rose garden in Kadriorg Park to thank Estonian athletes who competed at the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics. The event was attended by both the athletes themselves and their support teams and sponsors.
Present at the reception were freestyle skiers Kelly, Henry and Tõnis Sildaru, among others, who are the most well-known names among Estonia's winter sports fans. In addition to the athletes, the head of state recognised everyone who contributed to the Estonian team's participation and to bringing Olympic coverage into Estonian homes.
The Milan Cortina Winter Olympics took place in February 2026 in Italy and provided Estonian athletes with the opportunity to compete against the world's best. The president's reception has become a traditional way to recognise Olympic competitors and their support teams.
