Estonia will host a Reserve Forces Week from 31 May to 7 June, organised by the Ministry of Defence in cooperation with the Defence Forces and the Defence League. During the week, attention will be drawn to the defence personnel who form the backbone of Estonia's defence capability.

The focus of the event is nearly 100,000 reserve soldiers, whom the organisers wish to publicly recognise for their dedication. In addition to the reserve soldiers themselves, the important role of their families is highlighted – family support is an integral part of how reserve service functions.

Reserve Forces Week is an annual tradition that helps the broader public understand what reserve service means for Estonia's security, and strengthens social cohesion between those participating in national defence and their loved ones.
