State Schools Teachers' Minimum Wage Rises to 2,070 from September 1st

The Ministry of Education and Science and the Estonian Educational Staff Union (EHL) signed the first-ever collective agreement for state schools on Wednesday, June 3rd. The agreement means that starting September 1st, the minimum wage for state school teachers will increase to 2,070 per month.

This is a historic milestone, as such a collective agreement has never been concluded for state schools before. The agreement regulates teachers' working conditions and establishes clear wage guarantees for those working in publicly funded schools.
