According to the manufacturer, the system can be brought to combat readiness in as little as five minutes and does not require complex additional equipment or extensive operator training. This low barrier to deployment is seen as a key advantage in fast-moving frontline conditions, where speed and simplicity can be the difference between success and failure.

The UB82D represents a broader trend reshaping modern warfare: rather than replacing older munitions, drone technology is giving them entirely new delivery mechanisms. Mortar rounds that once required heavy tube systems and exposed crews are now being delivered with greater precision and from longer ranges by small unmanned aircraft.

Ukrainian Armor has also hinted at a significantly more powerful successor system currently in development, centered around a 120mm mine. If realized, such a drone would carry a substantially larger warhead, potentially shifting the tactical calculus on the battlefield even further in favor of unmanned systems.
