The Valga Hot Shorts short film festival held in Valga has unveiled the main competition programme for this year's event in July. The festival will screen a total of 28 films from 19 different countries.

The festival takes place on 3–5 July, and this year the films in the programme are dedicated to the theme of borders – exploring both physical and more abstract, invisible boundaries, their crossing, establishment and dissolution.

Valga Hot Shorts is an international short film festival held in Valga, a city in southern Estonia – a historically significant border town on the edge of the Latvian border. The festival provides a platform for both Estonian and foreign filmmakers.
